"Vanderpump Rules" stars Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy have called it quits seven months after getting engaged.
Leviss, 27, and Kennedy, 29, made the announcement Sunday in a joint statement they posted to their respective Instagram accounts.
"After these 5 wonderful years we had together, we decided we have two different goals and made the decision to call off the engagement," they wrote. "We love each other very much, but we aren’t in love anymore. We want nothing but the best for each other so please keep any thoughts positive. Sending Love."
Leviss and Kennedy decided to end their relationship while they were filming the Season 9 reunion of "Vanderpump Rules" in Los Angeles Friday, an unnamed insider told People. She reportedly returned the engagement ring on camera and was seen without the sparkler during dinner later that evening.
Kennedy proposed to Leviss in May after five years together. He popped the question with a Coachella-themed proposal.
Leviss originally announced the engagement news on Instagram with a series of photos from the evening and wrote, "James proposed at the iconic Empire Polo Fields of 'RACHELLA' Friday night... and I said YES! I'm over the Coachella moon #RACHELLA."
Kennedy also celebrated the moment on Instagram with a snap of them kissing. "THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, said yes. #RACHELLA," he wrote in the caption.
The proposal aired on the Bravo series in October.
The former couple had faced several issues in the past, including Kennedy's struggles with addiction on the reality show. Leviss also said she felt "verbally abused" by Kennedy on "Vanderpump Rules" last year.
In one episode, Leviss told her fellow waitresses at SUR that she "drank way too much" during a girls' night out and blacked out. She said that when she woke up, she received a number of abusive texts messages from Kennedy, People reported.
"I left my phone in my purse in the kitchen, passed out in bed, then woke up to a million texts from James like, 'w—e, s—t,'" she told her co-workers.
It was reportedly reminiscent of his angry phone call in a previous episode, in which he threatened to break up with her. "F— you. Where are you? I'm breaking up with you. W—e. S—t. W—e. F— you," Leviss read from her phone. "It makes me literally want to throw up."
At the time, Leviss gave Kennedy an ultimatum, saying, "If you can’t get your s— together, then we will break up."
Another Bravo star, Lala Kent, also recently parted ways with her partner, Randall Emmett. The pair got engaged in 2018 and welcomed daughter Ocean in March.
Reports of a split sparked in October after Kent deleted every post of Emmett from her Instagram page amid rumors that he cheated on her. TMZ and Page Six later reported they had called it quits.
