Victoria Beckham’s Younger Sister Louise Opens Fashion Boutique
Victoria Beckham’s younger sister Louise has opened her own fashion boutique earlier this month. The store named Hidden Closet is located in the Hertfordshire town of Hoddesdon. Adams, 39, has teamed up with childhood friend Leighann Cook, 41, to set up the venture.
The shop, which stocks high street-priced clothing, bags and jewellery, is reportedly being backed by her famous sister. “People don’t have as much money to spend on clothes and young girls don’t always have the money to spend on a night out. If someone comes in wanting a dress for their Friday night for £20 or £100, they can get it here,” Louise said speaking to Mercury.
The store opened its doors on Nov. 7. Unlike Victoria’s renowned label Victoria Beckham and sister line Victoria, Victoria Beckham, Hidden Closet will operate at a high-street price point. Louise already has retail experience having had a store in Cuffley. She took to Twitter and shared her feeling with her followers.
She said that she and her childhood friend had dreamed of going into business together. But, their dream turned into reality when they took on the lease of the premises in Library Court in September.
Victoria and her husband David Beckham’s eldest child Brooklyn will work in the store part-time along with his cousin Liberty Flood, The Sun reported. The 16-year-old, who has earlier had a Saturday job at a coffee shop in west London, will give his aunt a helping hand in her business.
Mother-of-four Flood, who split from her businessman partner Darren Flood last year, previously owned a clothes boutique in nearby Cuffley. She has celebrated Victoria’s fashion success, by attending the launch of her Dover Street store opening in 2014.
Fashion designer Victoria will also be on hand to give advice to her younger sibling. Since launching her eponymous label in 2008, her collections have enjoyed much appreciation and she has expanded into shoes and handbags. She has been nominated for the prestigious Womenswear Designer of the Year award at this year’s British Fashion Awards.
Victoria was presented the Glamour Woman of the Year award at an annual ceremony celebrating women by her son Brooklyn Monday. She got the honor for her fashion line and her work as the goodwill ambassador with UNAIDS at the 25th Annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards held in New York.
