‘Wet Hot American Summer’ Netflix Reboot Photos Released; How The Cast Compares To The Original 2001 Movie
It’s been 14 years since “Wet Hot American Summer” was released, but Netflix is ready to bring the cult comedy back. The July 31 release date for the TV series, titled “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp,” is quickly approaching and the streaming service released the first batch of photos for fans.
The stills show the Camp Firewood counselors back in action. While the original 2001 movie focused on the last day of camp, the eight-episode series will be all about the start of that famous summer season. The images released features the return of cast members Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Meloni, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Molly Shannon, Elizabeth Banks and many more. However, there’s also a fresh batch of actors who have not been photographed in character yet. Viewers can look forward to seeing John Slattery, Kristen Wiig, Jason Schwartzman, Jon Hamm, Chris Pine and others when the series premieres.
