What Will Porsha Get In Divorce From Kordell Stewart? 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Star Reaches Settlement
A divorce settlement has been reached nearly a year after former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart filed for divorce from "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams, who now goes by her maiden name.
The couple had a prenup, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Williams won't receive alimony, a house, health insurance, NFL retirement money or a cash out. She will be able to keep her engagement ring and other personal items.
Stewart filed a divorce petition in Fulton County on March 22, 2013, nearly two years after they were married. The court document, cited by Access Atlanta, said the marriage was "irretrievably broken."
Williams, 31, said that she found out about the divorce filing through Twitter, which she checked after her sister had called her a number of times that morning when the news broke.
At the time, TMZ reported that Stewart even felt his wife didn't need to be paid spousal support because she's "an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself."
In the November third season premiere of "Real Housewives" fans watched as she tried to save their marriage. At one point, she claimed that Stewart, 41, refused to attend a mediation session to try and work out their problems, calling it a "waste of everyone's time." TMZ also reported that after he filed for divorce she countersued him, claiming that he locked her out of their mansion on numerous occasions and didn't give her a key.
