Why Tarek El Moussa Won't Invite Ex Christina Anstead To Wedding With Heather Rae Young

Tarek El Moussa and fiancée Heather Rae Young are preparing to tie the knot soon, and some have already been banned from the guest list: their exes. This means that his “Flip or Flop” co-host and ex-wife Christina Anstead, who recently announced her split from Ant Anstead, will not be receiving an invite.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, El Moussa talked about his and Young's upcoming nuptials and revealed that they plan to keep the celebration intimate. As for the guests, the HGTV star is adamant that no exes will be invited to avoid “distractions.”

“No, no exes at the wedding. Small, less distractions, more intimate, better conversations with the people around us. You know, we just think smaller is better,” El Moussa explained.

Young added that they will be “strict” with the guest list.

Only close friends and family, including Taylor and Brayden, El Moussa’s two kids with Christina, will be able to witness the real estate expert and Young exchanging vows. He also said that there will be no cameras at the ceremony.

The “Selling Sunset” star divulged that the wedding will likely be set for summer 2021, with Cabo San Lucas and California among the locations they are considering. Young also said that she has found the perfect wedding dress for her walk down the aisle.

This comes less than a month after El Moussa's ex, Christina, announced her separation from her husband Ant Anstead on social media. Hours prior to the shocking news, Young and El Moussa had revealed tidbits about their engagement.

“Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority,” Christina captioned a photo of them along the beach.

An unnamed source told Us Weekly that El Moussa already knew Christina and Ant, who tied the knot in 2018 in Newport Beach, California, wouldn’t last. Despite this, the “Flipping 101” star reportedly still feels sad for his ex.

Ant and Christina had been having problems long before they called it quits, another anonymous tipster claimed. The split revelation also came as a surprise to their close friends, who only saw a seemingly happy couple in public.

“Christina found it difficult to balance everything,” the source said.

The insider also said that their “marriage was struggling” and that Christina was “unhappy” at home despite having a large blended family.
