Will Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Announce Their Engagement In November?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are likey to announce their engagement before the year ends.
Prince Harry and Markle's engagement is imminent. Their fans are just waiting for the couple's announcement. According to a royal commentator, this will not likely happen in November because the royals are looking forward to another big event.
Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, told Express that for those who are looking forward to Markle and Prince Harry's engagement, they will have to wait until after the end of November. The "Suits" star and the royal prince don't want to steal the limelight from Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip who will be celebrating their platinum wedding anniversary on Nov. 20.
"We are confidently expecting an engagement between Harry and Meghan," he told the publication. "But it isn't likely to be announced before the Queen and the Duke's Platinum Wedding Anniversary in November."
As for seeing Markle and Prince William in public frequently, Fitzwilliams stressed that this is unlikely to happen. "I doubt Harry and Meghan will appear publicly more often than they have to. His visceral feelings towards the press are famous, they both currently control the story and the access," he explained. "But the engagement of the world's most eligible bachelor to an American divorcee who is also a high profile actress is manna from heaven for the media."
Meanwhile, the "Horrible Bosses" star's dad has already approved Prince Harry for his daughter. According to Tom Markle's neighbor, Allison Leber, the award-winning cinematographer is okay as long his daughter is happy.
"Tom will call sometimes so I know how he's doing. He's happy his daughter is with Prince Harry and he's glad she's found love. He never expected this. He was expecting a quiet retirement in Mexico," Leber said. "He's happy as long as Meghan is happy."
Although Markle's dad has opened up about his daughter and Prince Harry to his neighbor, he has no intentions of speaking about the couple's high-profile romance in public. "Tom is a good man who wants a quiet life. He couldn't be more proud of Meghan but he has no interest in the circus that comes with her dating a prince," another source said.
