'Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Can The Newmans Be Saved?
The big day has arrived and Nikki, Victoria and Sharon will need to hope their lawyers can pull out all the stops when it comes to getting them all acquitted of JT’s murder and the cover-up on the Wednesday, Feb. 27 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon (Sharon Case) were stunned when they finally learned that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) had turned on them after their arrests and was going to be the star witness for the prosecution, meaning that they need to have effective strategies as their trial begins on the CBS soap. So far, that means they have to trust what Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Brittany (Lauren Woodland) are cooking up as a strategy, and they have to hope it will work in their favor.
“The Newmans plan how they’ll defend themselves,” spoilers reveal.
The women aren’t expected to take the stand in their own defense since they covered up the truth about JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) murder for so long, and their lawyers are confident they can destroy Phyllis’ testimony and use her lack of credibility to get the case thrown out. For now, the other woman involved in the crime is still insisting she plans to prove it was self-defense as a help for the others, but no one believes she’s looking out for any interests other than her own.
Regardless of her motives though, it will be clear that it’s an uphill battle to try and save all three women from going to jail for the crime as their trial gets underway. While the lack of a body still potentially works in their favor, Christine (Lauralee Bell) was given a lot of evidence against them—and their lawyers’ legal strategies are the only things that seem likely to potentially save Victoria, Nikki and Sharon from lifelong prison sentences.
“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
