Is CBS’ ‘SEAL Team’ Getting A Season 3? Renewal, Cancellation Details
After the Season 2 finale of “SEAL Team” on Wednesday, will there be another season of the show?
CBS is giving that a great, big yes. The network renewed the show for Season 3 earlier this month at the same time that it renewed a few other dramas, including “Bull” and “MacGyver.”
For the last couple of months, “SEAL Team” has been airing at 10 p.m. EDT on Wednesdays, including tonight’s Season 2 finale episode, but it will go back to its usual 9 p.m. EDT time slot when it returns in fall 2019 with episode 1 of Season 3, although an exact premiere date has not yet been set.
With the great news that the show hasn’t been canceled, fans can happily watch tonight’s Season 2 finale (episode 22), titled “Never Out of the Fight,” knowing the show will be back.
According to the synopsis, in the episode, “Bravo team’s future is on the line when Commander Shaw (Peter Jessop) recommends they be split up, but Jason’s [David Boreanaz] unit has one final mission to prove him wrong.”
Max Thieriot (Clay Spenser), Neil Brown Jr. (Ray Perry), AJ Buckley (Sonny Quinn), Toni Trucks (Lisa Davis), Jessica Paré (Mandy Ellis) and Judd Lormand (Lieutenant Commander Eric Blackburn) also star.
The guest cast for this episode, which was written by John Glenn and Spencer Hudnut and directed by Christopher Chulack, includes Jessop, Kaliayh Rhambo (Jameelah), Miguel Pérez (Dr. Sullivan), Ammon Jacob Ford (Mikey Hayes), Michael McGrady (Harrington), C. Thomas Howell (Ash Spencer), Kristy Swanson (Julia), Chuck Kelley (Bartender), Atul Singh (Batra), Catherine Dent (Liddy Breen), Lynn Chen (Patty Watson), Kenneth Meseroll (Priest) and Laura Gardner (Doris Sawyer).
Check out the Season 2 finale of “SEAL Team” on Wednesday on CBS at 10 p.m. EDT.
