Cedric Yarbrough Slams Mariah Carey: She Was ‘Unprofessional, Borderline Abusive’ On ‘The House’ Set
Mariah Carey’s diva behavior on the set of “The House” is making headlines once again.
Another cast member of “The House” has slammed Carey for her attitude on the set. On Wednesday, the “Touch My Body” singer’s co-star, Cedric Yarbrough, posted a lengthy statement on Facebook about what actually happened when they shot her cameo in the comedy film. The post has since been deleted, but Entertainment Weekly was able to share a screenshot.
In the post, Yarbrough claimed that Carey had been “borderline abusive” to the crew, so her cameo appearance may not push through. “Hey team! This is a long one so bare with me. Okay since Will Ferrell is talking, I’m talk-ing. Yea, a real funny cameo was SUPPOSED to happen in the new film #TheHouse with the superstar Mariah Carey. But it was ruined by superstar Mariah Carey,” Yarbrough wrote. “This lady was unprofessional & borderline abusive to our director, who tried his best to appease her every wish.”

Yarbrough said that Carey was three to four hours late to the filming and refused to match the stunt that her double already did earlier. The “We Belong Together” singer also requested for a large fan to blow her hair around and a camera above her for a crane shot.
The “Daddy’s Home” star believed that the crew and the director didn’t deserve Carey’s behavior. He added that he came from a 10-hour shooting for “Speechless” and arrived on the set waiting for the “Hero” songstress.
Yarbrough then offered advice for young actors to “be on time, know your homework, but be courteous and respectful.” Yarbrough also encouraged those who have been in the industry for some time to do the same, saying: “This kind of behavior should be called out for what it is. I miss ‘I had a vision of love’ Mariah. Be a damn professional.”
Rob Huebel had the same thing to say about Carey. In a May interview with SiriusXM's Entertainment Weekly Radio Show, he revealed that the songstress had a lot of “amazing requests,” including white roses and stuffed lamb toys on her trailer.
Huebel explained that shooting with Carey didn’t work. They hired her to sing a song, but she had a lot of complaints so they indeed up killing her character, which again the diva didn’t like.
This was not the first time Mariah acted like a diva. The singer also made ridiculous demands while directing Lacey Chabert in a Hallmark Christmas movie. She allegedly insisted for a second fully furnished trailer on set for her dog with no less than 10 humidifiers. In addition to this, she kept on napping and didn’t want to be woken up, so their day revolved around her napping schedules, Daily Mail reported.
