Jaden Smith is being trolled on social media for his recent comments that he preferred spending time with adults over kids growing up because children didn’t like to talk about the “political and economic state of the world.”

“I am very happy that I spent my childhood with more adults than I did with kids my own age, because I was picking up more things from adults than I (were) from kids my own age,” the former “Karate Kid” star said on BigBoyTV earlier this month.

The 23-year-old actor told host Bigboy that he would sometimes hang out with people his age who have a habit of saying things like, “Look at my phone! Selfie!”

Jaden touched his forehead in dismay and said, “I’m just, like, ‘Dude, like, oh my God. Can we talk about the political and economic state of the world, right now? Can we talk about what’s going on in the environment? Can we talk about other things?’”

But just like any other person his age, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s son admitted that he does like to “turn up,” “flex,” “play songs loud” and “jump in the club in Atlanta” from time to time but he said he is more interested in “looking for that next thing.”

“I’m not satisfied at just, like, a party,” he explained on the podcast on April 10.

Jaden picked up ridicule after his statements resurfaced on Twitter as users created different memes about his comments.

One user tweeted a clip of a toddler walking to school and wrote, “Jaden smith on his way to curse out his kindergarten classmates for not understanding the complexities behind the current political climate.”

Another user captioned a photo of a teary-eyed SpongeBob SquarePants and said, “8 year old Jaden smith when jada gave him a spider man themed birthday party instead of a book study on the war of mesopotamia.”

One user tweeted a photo of a donkey and wrote, “Jaden smith when someone at the party doesn’t wanna talk about the political and economic state of the world.”

Jaden responded to the criticisms by creating his own meme on Twitter poking fun at his own statement.

“Me: Hey Wanna Talk About the Economic And Political State Of World Together. Girl: Nah Me: Ok Cool,” he captioned a photo of him sporting a poker-faced look as if saying he is unbothered by the comments against him.
