After just four months of dating, actress Jennifer Lawrence and her Coldplay frontman beau Chris Martin have called their romance quits. While insiders close to the A-list pair claim that their romance ended due to their busy work schedules, another report is now claiming that Martin’s estranged wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, may have played a significant role in their breakup.

According to a report from Radar Online, Paltrow, 42, helped bring Martin’s relationship with the “Hunger Games” star to a close after asking him to spend more time with their children, Apple 10, and Moses, 8.

“Gwyneth always pressured Chris to spend more time with Apple and Moses,” an source said. “The kids would constantly call Chris when he was with Jennifer, and whatever they were doing would have to come to a standstill.”

Insiders claim that Martin’s fatherly duties upset his Oscar-winning belle. According to a report from People magazine, Lawrence, 24, ultimately pulled the plug on their relationship.

“Jen complained to Chris that she felt like a third wheel in their relationship because of all the time he spent with his kids,” a source told Radar.

While Lawrence and Martin’s split may come as a shock to some fans, sources claim Paltrow was not surprised by their sudden separation. According to an insider, Paltrow, who "consciously uncoupled," in her words, from Martin, 37, after 10 years of marriage in March, thought their 13-year age difference could be a deal breaker. But some insiders say they believe the couple could reunite in the future.

“There is a chance they could get back together,” a source said. “Chris still has very strong feelings for her.”

Lawrence was last seen out and about in Santa Monica, California, Monday, JustJared reports. According to TMZ, the actress refused to comment on rumors that Paltrow played a role in her and Martin's split.

E! News was the first to report on Martin and Lawrence’s split Monday. According to insiders, their breakup, which occurred a few weeks ago, wasn’t a dramatic affair.

The romance was first revealed in August shortly after Lawrence ended her three-year on-again, off-again relationship with her “X-Men” co-star, 24-year-old actor Nicholas Hoult. Lawrence has been seen at several Coldplay concerts in recent weeks, most recently attending the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas last month.
