Melania Trump Is ‘Independent’ From Husband President Donald Trump; FLOTUS ‘Does What She Feels’
KEY POINTS
- Melania Trump is independent from her husband President Donald Trump
- Melania Trump is the most free person in the Trump world
- Melania Trump snubbed several first lady traditions
Melania Trump is independent from her husband President Donald Trump.
Many thought that the POTUS is not treating his wife appropriately, with some campaigning for “#FreeMelania” because they felt that she was being abused. Body language expert Susan Constantine said that there was no warmth or true love between the two. Also, she pointed out how Trump pulled his wife “sexually” when they were dancing at the Inauguration Ball.
However, contrary to what many believe, Melania is actually independent from her husband. The FLOTUS is free to do whatever she wants, she is not someone who only does what her husband expects her to do.
“Mrs. Trump is independent and acts independently from her husband,” Trump’s communications director Stephen Grisham told CNN correspondent Kate Bennett.
“She does what she feels is right and knows that she has a real opportunity through her role as first lady to have a positive impact on the lives of children. Her only focus is to effect change within our next generation.”
Bennett also described the FLOTUS as the “most free person in the Trump world.” According to her, she has been covering Melania in the past and realized that there is no need to free Melania because the opposite was true.
“In terms of whether you like it or not, she does whatever she wants, whether you agree with it or not. She doesn’t really have a platform. She doesn’t really do events. She doesn’t have to campaign if she doesn’t want to,” Bennet said.
“Do you know what I mean? She’s literally probably the most free modern First Lady that we’ve seen.”
True to it, Melania has her own approach when it comes to being the first lady. In fact, she snubbed several traditions that were being practiced by the former FLOTUS.
First, she didn’t move into the White House right after the president’s inauguration. Instead, she stayed longer in New York with her son, Barron. Also, she didn’t host state dinners at the White House at the end of the year which the other first ladies before her did. There was also a time when she skipped the State of the Union address.
