‘Power’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 7 Synopsis; Watch ‘The Devil Inside’ Promo

It hasn’t been easy for Ghost to regain his spot at the top of the drug game but thanks to an unexpected visit, he may be given the opportunity to reclaim his throne. On Power” Season 5, episode 7, Ghost will attempt to carry out a dangerous attack as Angela learns she has been betrayed.

“Ghost (Omari Hardwick), Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) move forward with their task to kill the heads of the Jimenez Cartel,” the synopsis for “The Devil Inside” teases.

In the Starz promo, Jason (Mike Dopud) reveals Tommy, Ghost and Kanan’s timeline to take out the Jimenez has been pushed up. Although the three men have been trying to come up with a strategic plan to murder members of the powerful cartel, Jason’s last minute change could put all of their lives at risk.

While Tommy and Ghost see the end of the Jimenez as an opportunity for them to go after what they want without consequences, Kanan is patiently waiting for the chance to betray them. Will the three men be able to successfully carry out Jason’s request?

“Donovan (Ty Jones) warns Angela (Lela Loren) that her own office is after her,” the synopsis for “Power” Season 5, episode 7 says. In “The Devil Inside” promo video, Mak (Sung Kang) tells Teresi (William Sadler) to get Tommy to talk about a woman named Angela Valdez because she’s helping Ghost.

Since the internal operation to bring Angela down has begun, Donovan has expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the office plans on destroying her life. As Angela’s team gets closer to ending her career, it looks like Donovan will finally tell her the truth, but will it be too late for her to cover up her mistakes?

Elsewhere in the Starz promo video, Angela tells Ghost she thought they had things handled and admits she’s scared. The only reason why Angela’s career is in jeopardy is because of her association with Ghost. The last time Angela’s colleagues begin doubting her loyalty to the justice system, she sent Ghost to jail to gain back their trust. Will Angela turn against Ghost to save her career?

“LaKeisha (La La Anthony) lets it slip that Teresi is Tommy’s father,” the synopsis states. Tasha (Naturi Naughton) has previously told Tommy she wants to protect Keisha and doesn’t want her to know any details about what has been going on since Raina (Donshea Hopkins) was killed.

However, Tommy confided in Keisha after learning that Teresi was his father. While Tasha may not be upset about Keisha getting closer to Tommy, she and Ghost may have an issue if they find out what else Keisha knows about their crimes. Will Tommy’s confession to Keisha put everyone’s freedom in jeopardy?

“Power” Season 5, episode 7 airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT on Starz.
