‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Javi Marroquin Talks Dating After Kailyn Lowry Split, Reveals He’s Seeing Someone

Javi Marroquin isn’t letting his split from “Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry put a damper on his dating life. Even though the pair announced they were divorcing just three months ago, the 23-year-old revealed that he’s been seeing someone else.

Javi told Radar Online on Friday that he went out on a date last weekend, but he and his new beau are taking things slow. “Right now we are just friends taking it slow,” he said. “We both have a lot going on.”

Javi didn’t want to reveal too many details about this mystery woman but did tell the outlet that she hasn’t met his 2-year-old Lincoln. He also said that he doesn’t think he needs his soon-to-be ex-wife’s permission about when he can introduce a woman he’s dating to his child. “I don’t need to talk to Kail about that. I’m Lincoln’s dad,” he said. “I’ll know when the right time for him to meet a future partner will be. Same goes for Kail. I don’t have a say when she introduces guys to him.”

Kailyn and Javi revealed they were splitting in May after their marriage problems played out on last season of the MTV reality show. After announcing their divorce, it was rumored that Kailyn had moved on and was dating her best friend Becky Hayter after she was spotted kissing her at a gay pride parade in June. Kailyn further ignited the rumors when she refused to comment on her sexuality after fans started to question her. “Can’t I just love people?” she said in response. The 24-year-old mom of two also uploaded an Instagram photo of Becky writing “girlfriend status” in the caption.

Kailyn did eventually addressed the rumors denying that she was in a same-sex relationship. During an interview with Real Mr. Housewife she said the two were “nothing more” than friends. “We’re not in romantic relationship at all,” she said. “In fact Becky is talking to someone else she’s interested in.”
