'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Stefan Asks Caroline To Come Home In Sneak-Peek Video From Episode 20

Running away might not be the answer to all of Caroline’s problems. After getting her humanity back, Caroline (Candice Accola) will stay away from her friends. However, Stefan (Paul Wesley) wants her to come back. In a sneak-peek video from “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6, episode 20, the older vampire calls Caroline to let her know that he needs her. In another clip, Alaric has a sweet phone call with Jo that takes a dark turn.

Sneak Peek No. 1

Stefan calls Caroline during Alaric’s (Matt Davis) bachelor party. He explains that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decided to host the bash at the Salvatore house, but that isn’t why he called. He says that he’s been dodging his mother Lily (Annie Wersching), and he isn’t begging Caroline to come home. He just wants a friend to listen to him vent about his problems.

“I guess what I’m saying is call me back otherwise I’m going to start running out of reasons to avoid everything that is going on in my life right now,” Stefan says. “Kind of like what you’re doing, which is completely understandable, but just really crappy timing for me and my problems.”

Stefan looks sad as he tells Caroline to come home, but Enzo (Michael Malarkey) interrupts the heartfelt moment. Enzo assures Stefan that he didn’t want to be there, but Lily needs him. “Apparently her beloved ascendant’s been destroyed,” Enzo explains. “She’s in bad shape, could use a bit of your time.”

“What the hell do you know about my mother?” Stefan asks. It seems no one has told him that Lily made Enzo a vampire just before she was trapped in the prison world.

Sneak Peek No. 2

Alaric is sitting alone in a dark classroom while grading term papers. He gets a call from Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe). She just called to say that she couldn’t wait to spend her life with the teacher. “I just realized that tonight is my last shift as a single woman,” Jo said. “I can’t wait to marry you.”

“And I am counting the days,” Alaric said.

It’s a sweet moment – so obviously something bad has to happen. After they hang up, things take a creepy turn. Alaric sees something moving in the hallway and goes to investigate. Suddenly, someone comes up from behind him and puts a black bag over his head.
