What’s ‘Bachelor’ Star Nick Viall Up To After ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 24 Elimination?
Nick Viall’s officially done with “Dancing With the Stars,” but don’t feel too sorry for the former “Bachelor.” He’s keeping busy with both fiancée Vanessa Grimaldi and a new business venture.
Nick and Vanessa stepped out together at the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday for a special date night. While walking the red carpet, Nick was asked about his “DWTS” elimination. While he’s sad his time on the ABC competition series is over, he told ET Online it’s freed him up to work on other things.
“It was definitely a bummer. I had so much fun doing it, and Peta [Murgatroyd] was such a great partner and [Vanessa] was so supportive,” he said. “Obviously, with the launch of [my grooming line] The Polished Gent, it actually kind of worked out timing wise. Just because I have been so busy with that and now it gives me a little bit of time to breathe and just focus on that instead of trying to juggle both of them.”
The Polished Gent launched May 8. The brand’s a subscription box for men which features skin and hair products curated to your needs. In a promotional clip on Instagram, Nick assures potential customers that subscribing to The Polished Gent will leave their hair thick and full and their skin youthful — who wouldn’t want that?
One thing Nick and Vanessa won’t be doing after both “The Bachelor” and “DWTS” is return to reality TV. Both agreed that they’ve got “zero plans” to do another show. Vanessa was especially adamant about it, though she didn’t reveal what she’s got coming down the pike.
“Yeah [I’m done with reality television],” she told ET. “This is the first reality TV show I did [and] this is the first season I watched entirely. I’m going to be focusing on other things in the near future.”
In addition to new business ventures, Nick remains focused on strengthening his relationship with Vanessa. During an interview with KTLA (via Us Weekly) he said that meeting on “The Bachelor” was “not the ideal experience,” adding that he and Vanessa are far from the perfect couple. Still, they’re enjoying putting time and effort into their relationship.
“We’ve been pretty up front about having a lot of things to work on, and we’re excited about doing that. So we don’t feel any pressure like that — we’re just kind of doing our own thing,” he said.
Part of that openness includes keeping it real with “Bachelor” fans about their wedding plans. Nick and Vanessa don’t intend to wed anytime soon, but they’ve given some thought to their big day — specifically whether the event will be televised. During a Facebook live chat with Extra, he said that while he’s not vying for a TV show, he and his wife-to-be are open to the idea.
“Vanessa and I are just focused on our relationship — when we decide it’s time for us to take that next step, we’re just going to plan a wedding, and if the show wants us, great, and if not...we’re not really focused on whether it’s going to be televised or not,” he assured Bachelor Nation.
